CarSuspension Upgrades
Suspension is the foundation of how your car handles, rides, and looks. We install lowering springs (Eibach, H&R), coilovers (BC Racing, KW, Fortune Auto), and air suspension (Air Lift Performance, AccuAir) — matching spring rates and damping to your vehicle's weight and your driving style on Dallas-Fort Worth streets.
Suspension Platforms
Three approaches to lowering your car — each with different adjustability, ride quality, and cost trade-offs. We help you choose based on how you actually drive.
Lowering Springs
Eibach Pro-Kit, H&R Sport Springs, or Tein S.Tech — drop 1–2" with progressive spring rates designed to work with your factory struts. The most affordable way to eliminate wheel gap and improve handling. Bolt-on installation, no permanent modifications.
Coilovers
BC Racing, KW Variant 1/2/3, Fortune Auto 500, or ST Suspension — fully adjustable ride height and damping. Pillow ball upper mounts for camber adjustment. The enthusiast's choice for cars that see spirited driving, car meets, and Dallas-Fort Worth canyon carving.
Air Suspension
Air Lift Performance 3P/3H or AccuAir systems — go from daily-driver height to slammed-to-ground at the touch of a button. Perfect for show cars and daily drivers who want versatility. We handle full air management from tank and compressor to controller.
The Metroplex Advantage
Why Choose
Metroplex?
Spring rates and damping need to match. We don't just drop your car — we verify that spring rates work with your shock/strut valving, check for suspension travel limits, and configure damping settings for your driving style. A mismatch creates a ride that's either dangerously bouncy or uncomfortably stiff.
Spring Rate Matching
We verify that your lowering spring rates are compatible with your factory or aftermarket struts. Mismatched rates cause bottoming out, poor damping, and premature strut failure.
Camber & Alignment Correction
Lowering changes camber geometry. We install camber plates, adjustable arms, or eccentric bolts as needed, and finish every job with a Hunter HawkEye alignment for even tire wear.
Expert Air Suspension Install
Air systems are complex — struts, management, tank, compressor, controller, and hardlines. We route stainless hardlines properly, mount the tank securely, and calibrate the management system for safe pressure limits.

Lowering springs on factory struts is the most common car suspension mod — and the most commonly done wrong. When you drop 2" on Eibach Pro-Kits, the factory strut is now operating 2" deeper into its stroke. If the struts have 60,000 miles on them, the internal valving is already degraded. You end up with a car that bottoms out on every Dallas-Fort Worth pothole and rides like a skateboard. We always inspect strut condition before installing lowering springs — if they're worn, we recommend coilover replacement instead.
The Process
Platform Assessment
We inspect your current suspension condition, discuss your goals (daily, track, show), and recommend the right platform — springs, coilovers, or air.
Component Spec
We select spring rates matched to your vehicle's weight and driving style. Coilover damping settings are configured for your intended use.
Installation
Full suspension replacement with proper spring compressor technique, hardware inspection, and upper mount/bearing replacement where needed.
Alignment & Setup
Hunter HawkEye alignment with camber correction as needed. Coilovers get initial height and damping settings dialed in. Air systems get full calibration.
Avoid These Pitfalls
Common Mistakes We Fix
We regularly correct DIY and budget-shop suspension work. These are the issues we see most often.
Lowering Springs on Worn Struts
Lowering springs push factory struts 1–2" deeper into their stroke. If the struts have 50,000+ miles, the degraded valving can't control the higher spring rate — resulting in bottoming out and a harsh, bouncy ride.
eBay Coilovers with No Damping Control
Budget coilovers with fixed (or fake) damping adjustment ride terribly because the valving doesn't match the spring rate. We install only from established manufacturers — BC Racing, KW, Fortune Auto — with proper damping curves.
Skipping Camber Correction
Lowering a car adds negative camber — inner tire edges wear prematurely. Without camber plates, adjustable arms, or eccentric bolts, we see inner tire wear destroy new tires in 5,000 miles.
Cutting Factory Springs
Cutting springs is dangerous. It changes spring rate unpredictably, creates a rough end that can slip off the perch, and eliminates the progressive rate designed into the spring. Always use purpose-built lowering components.
